The 2008 legislature opened for business on at 2 PM on Monday, January 14th. I attended the opening ceremonies, but did not stick around for the Governor's address, as that took place at 7 PM. I saw several members of the House and Senate that I chatted with. I went back the next day for meetings and to poke around. After working up some ideas for legislation that ABATE is interested in, I attended meetings in Topeka on the 22nd of Jan.

The 2009 legislative session has been in session since 12 January, and we have passed a few dates that are significant to those proposing legislation.
